My name is Sarah Ismail, and I have been teaching yoga for 15 years, practicing for over 17. As well as being a yoga teacher and yogi, I am also a certified Barre teacher and Homeopathic health coach.
It started when I was studying pre-medicine at McGill University in Canada and met a friend whose mother practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thus began my research about medicine and my change in major at university. I realized holistic medicine was how I would like to help people, so I graduated with a Major in Social Studies of Medicine and a Minor in Biology.
I then went on to study Homeopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine, graduating in 2010. I also did my 200hr YTT in 2009 from the Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto studying Ashtanga Vinyasa with Diane Bruni and Ron Reid.
When I first started practicing yoga, I felt a shift in my energy towards the positive. I became more mindful and aware in my physical body. As well, I began noticing my thoughts, and that I could control them. This mind-body connection, along with homeopathic medicine, changed my life for the better. I tuned into my innate wisdom and listened to my body. I began my journey to become the best version of myself. This is ongoing work for me as I have an 8-year-old and would like to teach her by example.
My goal is to help empower you and make you feel your best version of yourself. I want to help people through movement, yoga, and holistic medicine, the way it helped me.
I love spending time in nature, travelling, running, being with family, as well as practicing yoga and Barre. Also, I love shopping!
Currently, I live in Kuwait with my daughter, husband, and cat.
